They say finding a good, honest mechanic is hard, but I have finally found one. I am not one to write reviews, but had to share my experience at OffCamber Autosport. I was in the market for a used car and found one that I liked posted online. It looked good and met my needs, but given that I know nothing about vehicles, I wanted to make sure I had it checked out by a professional mechanic before purchasing it. I didn't want to purchase a "lemon". I took the vehicle to OffCamber, and asked them to give it an inspection. I expected a little "tire kicking" and a brief lookover. The shop owner Mo, was kind enough to conduct the inspection for me personally. It was a little outside their normal business hours, but he was kind enough to help me, given the urgency of my situation. The vehicle had the most thorough inspection I could have ever hoped for! The interior was inspected with a fine tooth comb. Every knob, switch, and feature was tested to make sure it worked. Every flaw that I would have failed to notice was brought to my attention just to create awareness. The vehicle was put on a lift and every crack and crevice was inspected for signs of damage or potential leaks/problems. The brakes and tires were checked thoroughly, as was everything under the hood. Mo took the vehicle for a test drive with me, and every possible problem that I could expect was addressed. The vehicle was also hooked up to a computer and I was provided with a printout of any current (and historical) issues. I was provided with an estimate for how much any notable issues would cost, and was able to take the printout to the seller, with a fair purchase price. In the end, after reviewing everything with the seller, I was able to save $3,000 off the original asking price. Luckily, the vehicle was worth purchasing even with its flaws. I will be taking my vehicle back to them to conduct any needed repairs. They saved me money, and gave me peace of mind in purchasing my car. I recommend that anyone needing any work done (or even an pre-purchase vehicle inspection like I did) go to OffCamber Autosport!
